TopiaLand Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and Conqity, the independent developer of TopiaLand ("we", "us"). They apply to the game on every platform and to our related services and websites. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Accepting these Terms
By creating an account or playing TopiaLand, you agree to these Terms. The first time you sign in, the game will ask you to confirm that you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not play.
The platform you use (Steam, Google Play or the App Store) also has its own terms, which continue to apply between you and that platform.
2. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority or under the age of digital consent in your country, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you and is responsible for your use of the game, including any purchases.
3. Your account
- Your account is personal. You may not share, lend, sell, buy or transfer an account.
- You can link your Steam, Google and Apple accounts to one TopiaLand account. Once a platform account is linked, the link cannot be removed.
- You are responsible for everything that happens on your account and for keeping your platform accounts secure. Tell us right away at support@conqity.com if you think someone else is using your account.
- Your username must follow the rules in section 5. We may change an inappropriate username. Changing your username yourself may cost in-game currency.
4. Your license to play
TopiaLand, including its code, art, sounds, items, currencies and the game world, is owned by Conqity and its licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to play the game for your own non-commercial entertainment, as long as you follow these Terms. You do not own the game or anything in it.
5. Rules of conduct
You must not:
- Cheat: use hacks, bots, macros, auto-clickers, or modified or unofficial game clients.
- Exploit bugs: knowingly use bugs or glitches to gain an advantage. If you find one, report it to us instead.
- Run or use private servers: operate, join, promote or sell access to private servers, emulators or any unofficial copy of TopiaLand, or copy the game's assets for such purposes.
- Reverse engineer: decompile, disassemble, sniff, intercept or tamper with the game, its network traffic or our servers, except where the law explicitly allows it.
- Attack our services: try to overload, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our servers or other players' accounts.
- Abuse multiple accounts: use alternative accounts to farm, collect or move resources, get around a ban, or manipulate the marketplace or reputation system.
- Harm other players: harass, bully, threaten, or use hate speech, discrimination, sexual content or excessive profanity.
- Scam: trick other players, especially in trades, for example with fake offers, item swaps at the last moment or false promises.
- Trade for real money: buy or sell items, currencies, lands or accounts for real money or anything outside the game ("real-money trading" or RMT), or advertise such offers.
- Impersonate others: pretend to be another player, a moderator or a Conqity team member.
- Create inappropriate content: name lands or build structures that are offensive, sexual, hateful or illegal.
- Share private information: post another person's personal data in the game.
6. Trading between players
Trades and marketplace sales are agreements between players. Always check a trade carefully before confirming it. We do not restore items or currencies lost through trades you confirmed, including when you were scammed. We may still take action against the scammer under section 11.
7. Lands
- Land owners can lock their lands, invite players, and kick or ban players from their own lands. These are player features: we do not review or reverse a land owner's decisions unless they break these Terms.
- We may rename or remove lands with inappropriate names or content.
- To keep the world alive, we may reclaim lands whose owner has been inactive for a long period. The exact inactivity rules will be announced in the game before they are applied.
8. Virtual items and currencies
Coins, Gems, items, lands and all other virtual goods:
- have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money, goods or anything outside the game;
- are not your property: you receive a limited license to use them in the game under section 4;
- may be changed, rebalanced or removed as the game develops.
If your account is suspended or banned for breaking these Terms, you lose access to its virtual items and currencies, and no refund is given for them, except where the law requires otherwise.
9. Purchases and refunds
- Real-money purchases are made through Steam, Google Play or the App Store and are processed by that platform. Their payment terms apply.
- Refunds are handled according to the refund policy of the platform you bought from. Please contact the platform first.
- Fraudulent refunds or chargebacks may lead to the removal of the purchased items and the suspension or closure of your account.
- Prices and the contents of offers may change. A purchase is complete once the items are delivered to your account.
10. Content you create
You keep any rights you have in the structures you build and the messages you send ("your content"). You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, reproduce and modify your content in order to run the game, and to show it in trailers, screenshots, social media and other promotion of TopiaLand. This license lasts as long as the content remains in the game or in promotional material created while it was there.
We may review, hide or delete any content that breaks these Terms or the law. You are responsible for your content and must not upload anything you do not have the right to use.
11. Enforcement, reports and appeals
If you break these Terms, we may take one or more of these actions, depending on how serious the violation is:
- a warning;
- a chat restriction;
- removal of items or currency obtained unfairly;
- renaming or removing a land;
- a temporary suspension;
- a permanent ban of the account and, where needed, of linked accounts or devices.
We decide what action to take at our reasonable discretion. For serious violations, such as cheating or fraud, we may act without prior warning. Some actions, like chat restrictions from the profanity filter, are automatic.
Reports: you can report players and content with the in-game report feature or by emailing support@conqity.com.
Appeals: if we take action against your account or content, we will tell you the reason. If you think we made a mistake, email support@conqity.com within 30 days with your username. A person, not an automated system, will review your appeal.
12. Early Access
TopiaLand is in Early Access. This means:
- features, balance and content will change, and some may be removed;
- you may find bugs, and the servers may be unavailable during maintenance or updates;
- progress may be reset (a "wipe") before the full release. We will announce any wipe in advance. If a wipe happens, Gems you bought with real money will be returned to your account.
13. Changes to the game and ending the service
We may update, change or stop any part of the game. If we decide to shut TopiaLand down permanently, we will give at least 60 days' notice in the game and on this website, and we will stop selling virtual currency when we announce it.
14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or meet your expectations.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the loss of virtual items or data, except where we caused them deliberately or through gross negligence.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence, or our liability where it cannot be limited by law.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when we add new features or the law changes. For significant changes, we will update the version number and date, notify you in the game, and ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in. If you do not accept, you can stop playing and ask us to delete your account.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Before starting any legal proceedings, please contact us at support@conqity.com so we can try to solve the problem together.
If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim before the consumer arbitration committees and courts where you live. If you live in the EU or another country with mandatory consumer protection rules, you also keep the protection of those rules and may bring a claim in your country's courts.
17. Other terms
- If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
- If we do not enforce a rule right away, we are not giving up our right to enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over TopiaLand, and we will notify you if that happens.
- These Terms may be translated into other languages. If a translation conflicts with the English version, the English version applies.
